Pick n Pay charity fun walk

Rotary Club of Pretoria East and Pick n Pay is inviting everyone to participate in a Charity Fun Run at Swartkop Airbase on Saturday 5 June 2010. The charity fund raising event is to help children and the  Eradication of Polio. There are many prizes to win including a flip in an aircraft. Every participant that finished the race will receive medal.

UWC Entrepreneurship Initiative

The UWC has established an Entrepreneurship Initiative (UWEI) which will see that service support is made available to student-owned businesses on campus and externally.
As a way of developing and empowering students as future business leaders, UWC aims to aims to increase the sustainability of current UWC student-owned businesses and encourage a culture of entrepreneurship among students through increasing the number of businesses on campus and in the communities that students come from.

Student’s tough Battle

As negotiations on student residence accommodation between the University of the Western Cape and students continue in efforts to address complaints lodged by the students, one of the university’s students is fast running out of money and literally going hungry.

SA’s biggest YouTube star!

Cobus Potgieter, a 23-year-old self-taught drummer, based in East London, is the most subscribed South African on YouTube.
Potgieter has a following of 100 000 and has already uploaded over 80 videos. He told News24 that he already has some recognition and enjoys the feedback from viewers. “Some local dudes know about it, but I’m also getting about 20 to 30 e-mails a day and it feels great to get some feedback that people like what I’m doing, you know.”
