Does Rihanna have what it takes for movies?

Rihanna is venturing into new waters with her first big-screen acting gig! The singer has signed on for Battleship, the film adaptation of the classic board game, except, you know, with Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgard, and aliens.
The premise makes this one sound like a risky project to use as your big debut, so here’s hoping it’s not yet another singer-to-actor sinker, like Glitter was for Mariah Carey.

Create an animated HIV/AIDS prevention message with Siyanqoba Beat it!

The popular SABC1 youth-oriented HIV/AIDS magazine programme! Siyayinqoba Beat It! has launched a competition for the best animated public service announcement (PSA) about HIV/AIDS.
The competition is open to all non-professional animators, who will be expected to create an innovative 30-second PSA to drive Siyayinqoba Beat It! viewers towards testing for HIV, being informed, and correctly and consistently using condoms. Entrants may use any form of animation.
