Youth groups focus on jobs

Unemployment amongst young people will soon be a thing of the past.
This is the conclusion reached by the Young Communist League after the  ‘Jobs for Youth’ summit which took place over the weekend.
The league will be forming a coalition which deals with unemployment amongst youth together with a ‘jobs for Youth Charter  which will be unveiled during youth month – June.
The summit was attended by about 250 people from 84 different youth organisations and addressed by various government and trade union officials.

Youth jobs Summit (20-21 May)

A 2-day Jobs for Youth Summit kicks off tomorrow (20th May) at the Parktonian Hotel in Braamfontein Joburg.
The National Jobs for Youth summit is an initiative informed by the crippling statistics of youth unemployment.
The summit will give young people an opportunity to discuss the new ways that have been put in place to drive job creation and youth development.
