Rihanna is venturing into new waters with her first big-screen acting gig! The singer has signed on for Battleship, the film adaptation of the classic board game, except, you know, with Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgard, and aliens.
The premise makes this one sound like a risky project to use as your big debut, so here’s hoping it’s not yet another singer-to-actor sinker, like Glitter was for Mariah Carey.

Erykah Badu has been charged over a music video shoot which saw her strip naked in public and pretend to be shot near the site of President John F Kennedy’s assassination. Cobus Potgieter, a 23-year-old self-taught drummer, based in East London, is the most subscribed South African on YouTube.
Potgieter has a following of 100 000 and has already uploaded over 80 videos.
