SA Men’s Messy sex lives

The Great South African Sex Survey has revealed that men start younger, get around more, forget partners’ names, and are altogether dodgy in the bedroom department.
More than a quarter of South African men can’t remember the names of all the people they’ve had sex with. This is among the many startling responses that emerged from the survey, and sums up a depressing profile of sexual irresponsibility among South African men.

Are women more sexually responsible than men?
That’s a rhetorical question, really – or is it? When it comes to matters of sex, most people would probably say that, on average, women are more responsible than men. The results of Health 24’s Great South African Sex Survey of 2010 actually suggest that things aren’t always quite that clear-cut in real life.

The truth is out: Guys tell more lies!

Lies, lies, lies! A survey by the Science Museum has revealed that men are more likely to lie than women.
The study found that the average male tells 1 092 lies every year – roughly three a day. Where by the average woman will lie 728 times a year – around twice a day.
And while men said their lies were most likely to relate to their drinking habits, the most popular female fib is “Nothing’s wrong, I’m fine” – hides their true feelings.

HIV testing increases

Findings from a nationwide survey reveal that HIV Aids testing amongst men has increased considerably over the past 12 months, from 24 to 60 percent.

Managing director for Health and Development Africa Dr Saul Johnson attributes the increase to awareness campaigns and programs having reached people who acted on the information and got tested.
The Second National HIV/Aids 2009 survey was conducted in all nine provinces between June and August last year. A total of 9728 people aged between 16 and 55 took part in the survey.
