How Utterly Shocked Was I When I Realised She Wasnt As Popular As I Thought She Was. There She Sat In The Computer Lan Clicking Away For Hours. I Peered To See What She Was Doing And Realised She Had Voted For Herself And Had Gone From 700 Votes To 3000 + Votes Overnight. Lol!!! The Lengths People Will Go To For A Win. I Don't Know Whether This Is Funny Or Sad. Are You Aware Of Any Other People Who Have Been Voting For Themselves? Do You Think The Process Should Be Changed? Maybe The Interviews Should Be The Only Deciding Factor...

Thank you for clearing that up. i was involved in a twitter beef concerning the person who has been chosen as the ambassador for my campus because he didnt have many votes. i was attacked for telling the truth. but i now understand that he probably did really well in the interview and was chosen because he can do the job. and thank you for looking into the voting process aswell because many of us feel that we wasted our time voting if someone with just over 400 votes was chosen when others had thousands.

Hi. Thank you for the interest and concern around the voting process for the BlackBerry Brand Ambassador selections.

In coming to making decisions around who is selected as the final pairing, please be advised that the voting is only a part of the process, and is weighted up against the interview that candidates attend.

This is to ensure that the right candidate is selected that matches the brands objective. As such the interview has a greater weighting compared to the voting process.

BlackBerry is humbled that people would go to such lengths to be selected as the popular choice. We however do not condone cheating or underhanded tactics.

We will re-look the voting process in the future, in regards to your concerns.
