i have this friend of mine who believe dat to beat a gal
shows how much u love the gal and he continue to say that
if yo gf cheat n leave her without beating, she wi do it again

so what do u think?? is beating really mean love??

...rabelani, i have not denied that there are jerks out there who beat women. i expressed shock that people who are supposedly educated and young would beat another person, especially a girl. i still dont believe love can make you beat a person. actually bra honestly that is a little lame you have to admit it :)but you are right in that denial can make things stuck! none of my friends who dare lay a hand on their girlfriends because that's is the kind of company i keep. the only one friend who did that got condemned and we encouraged the girlfriend to leave him because its just unacceptable. he now knows where we stand in terms of this issue (a huge disappointment)

@odirilwe rules r made to be broken and i am telling u the truth .. the moment u beat a gal dats mean u really fed up and u cant take it anymo and u dont wanna break up with her cos u love her too much and mostly after beating her u regret and be the one again comforting her (dats wat love can do) dude stop acting like u not living in this planet.. women get beaten every dayu and ppl like u ,instead of helping ,u keep on say .. haa really da man is twisted , how can dat happen.. so stop being in denial and start protecting women

@baggabo beating is very wrong but ,like me, i felt bad and regreting beating her but after dat time,she was settled cos some time despline must be forced to get good results jst like at school back then ,,corporal punishment helped most of awa parents or brothers to be wer they r today.....

I think beatin is wrng i dnt c hw u benefit or act in da bst interest of some1 by beatin dem.hw cn da gal say without beatin she would cheat again,she needs 2 knw dat she is capable of makin good decisions and dat she hs da potential 2 b so much gr8ter dan she is nw. Beatin sum1 is so disrespectful and humiliatin.

@fundiaws98 , I think you are talking about a kinky fetish of some sort where people want to be dominated - but then again it happens generally during their behind the scene business, not so much for cheating or 'discipline'. People who seek domination should by all means go and find it, but violence does not replace discussion where issues need to be resolved. And I think thats the main difference between beating someone for 'pleasure' (I am yet to get my head around anyway) and beating them for wrong-doing. I just find violence of any sort distasteful thats all.

@odirilwe yes you're right! You could even get arrested for a warm clap! I know most people here educated and a women like @Cecilia would disagree with me on this one but, There is this thing about most(if not all) women; they want to have a man that can discipline them or have that upper hand on them(excuse my diction), so that's where a little clap used to fit in and it worked perfectly! Yes it's wrong and we shouldn't do it now.

I dnt understand hw beating up ur gf worked coz it only goes to prove hw coersion works.Also i dnt understand hw small ur self esteem must b to hv 2 beat sum1 up(who obviously is nt that into u coz they cheated) to make the relationshp work.Impossing ur masculinty 2 assert ur power doesnt make ur gf any more loyal than she is.Im tempted 2 call abusive men backwards but whose 2 say how repulsive and weak this act is????

you beat someone for cheating? why? why would anybody beat someone for cheating? if you got beaten for every lie you told, would you say thats justified, because that is cheating too.

By the way i did smack my gf once and resulted in her being a really good girl and our relationship lasted for the next 3 years until i left my village. I know what you're thinking.. No i certainly wouldn't do it again coz i belive that it's wrong but the truth must be told.. It did work in a past(very effective)

@DEEBO i'm not defending abusers but there r sometimes gals to lots of nonsense and take advantages cos they tok a lot.. so to try n shut their mouth is better to close it by varam clap....and about leaving a guy cos he beat u.. i dont think u can do dat if u r really deeply in love with someone... i hv bin there b4...

1stly to me an abusive man tells me alot about him like how much of a coward and a sick person he is. I mean how can u beat up some1 who u know won't defend themselves.

But i do know of gals who do say that if their bfs dont beat them up they dont love them, but the problem is most of the time @home were kids witness this sick behaviour. If that would happend to me I'd simply leave that guy. Musculinity is sexy but not in this stupid way.
