Love don't Live here anymore
I guess I really am from the old-school. I have not had a serious relationship since I left high school and it's not that I have not been looking either. I have scouted a few ladies that peaked my interest but whenever it comes to the approaching part, I find that (around here at least) ladies have lost their manners. Back in my days (it hasn't really been that long), a lady would give you time to state your claim before shutting you out but now, they won't even exchange a proper greeting or send a pcm (please call me) when they see your missed call. Two days ago, I asked a friend to hook me up with her friends (*HOT*) and she told me that if I wanted to get with them, I should be willing to spend. Willing to spend????!!!...Hold up!! Back in my youth, the word 'lady' and the phrase 'willing to spend' were associated with ladies of the night, found at Point Road...you know, hookers. Have things really changed that much?
Relationships used to be about the little things like hanging out and enjoying each others company. Now, I am no cheapskate but I don't believe in making money the priority either. Love now, has been given a quantity and its unit of measurement is rands. How much you got on you? Me? I've got none for you, but I do give a good conversation though. We can have that over a cup of coffee and get to know each other. If the only love left is that which lives in a wallet, then it don't live here. I had love but it don't live here anymore.

I hope I did not offend PandoraYam. I'm not just reporting on the ladies that I have met personaly but rather on a popular trend that I have noticed. When you enter a cab and the cab driver gives you the same story you heard a dozen times from guys on campus, you have to start to see the partern. It's not just a girl thing though, guys don't always make the best of partners. No doubt there are amazing women out there. I have met a few. Thanks again for reading guys

The best things in life are priceless so don't go for gals who still have the whole materialistic ideology of life. U can never buy love.

Thank you for the comments. Widgelo is right though, it is both genders making us 'commitment' folks nervous. I'm glad to hear that at least you are holding the fort with me. Thanks to Chuckysweety, I don't mind waiting if its worth it but it's sad that things are only getting uglier (not the people). Thank you Fundiswa, nice to know my lines reached you. lol Deebo, you are right there. Man has always been valued as a provider but I guess it's kinda gone downhill from then on 'Odaddy' corrupting innocent minds...oh well, what can we do, right?
