The Barnyard Theatre at Gateway is uniting three of the greatest groups of all time, on one stage, to say Thank You For The Music from ABBA, the Bee Gees and Queen from 28 May to 14 July.
These three bands impacted the world music scene with their monumental hits which remain ever popular, and this More... epic Barnyard production features all the greatest hits they made.
This spectacular new show features songs from the days when ABBA lit up the music scene with their first hits Ring Ring and Waterloo. This was followed on with countless pop anthems such as Money, Money, Money; Dancing Queen; Voulez-Vous; Knowing Me, Knowing You; Mamma Mia; I Have a Dream; Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight) and many more.
The cast do an authentic impersonation of Barry Gibbs' falsetto as they go on to re-ignite the disco groove in Stayin’ Alive, Jive Talkin’, You Should Be Dancing, Night Fever, Tragedy and more. Bee Gees hits live on forever and this can be seen with How Deep Is Your Love, Massachusetts, I’ve Gotta Get A Message To You and New York Mining Disaster.
Queen adds the electrifying flare to this show. They were a band that symbolised excessive and over-the-top showmanship, characterising the decadent 70’s and early 80’s. Queen was famous for their musical diversity, multi-layered arrangements and vocal harmonies. The talented Barnyard cast pulls this off to perfection, showcasing the hits Killer Queen, Somebody To Love, Don't Stop Me Now, among others.
Thank You For The Music is slick and entertaining and features beautiful vocal harmonies and rocking anthems.
