You are at university to learn. We get that. We agree. However sometimes the best lessons are not found in a textbook but rather by doing things we were not allowed to when we were in school and by doing things we won’t be able to do later in life, when our bones start complaining.

So… before life makes you feel like going to bed by 9, try out some of these university party ideas.

1. The ABC Party

ABC = Anything But clothes. This does not mean that it is time to get naked. If you’re hosting this party, be creative. What items can you substitute for clothes? For inspiration think Lady Gaga.

2. High School Stereotype

You have seen all those teenage movies, especially if you are a child of the 90’s. There are the Jocks, the emo’s, the cheerleader and the art types. Pick one, over exaggerate and go wild. Throw in some 90’s tune and you in for a jam down memory lane.

3. Awkward Place, Inappropriate Time

This one is for the brave and the curious. The idea is to have a party at a random place at a random time. Drinks at the university fountain at 10am are sure to raise a few eyebrows but who cares you busy having a party. The more random the more likely you are to remember that party for ever.

4. Around the World Party

This party takes a bit more planning and the variations are limitless. The idea is that you host it at your digs where every room is a different country. The host dresses in the theme of the country of their room and if loaded, supplies a local drink from that country. Can you say LE HOUSE PARTY!

5. Easter Beer Hunt

Who says you need eggs to for a good hunt? Using beer bottles is much more fun. Make your guests
work for their alcohol. Hide bottles all over your house or backyard and have your guests search for them. You can also hide cans of soda and non-alcoholic drinks to throw your guests off. The sooner they find those bottles, the less likely they are to drink warm beer.
