I think what they are trying to signify is a south africa that is colour blind. However when I first saw this picture on Facebook my first thoughts were, why is this young black woman with an older white guy? you see for me it wasn't just about the colour, it was about the age difference aswell. This picture made me think, is Daso promoting relationships with older men or "sugar daddies?" Are they saying it is okay for young black women to date older white men because they are poor? is it suggesting that HIV is not a problem in this country? Because those sorts of relationship spread HIV from the girl to the man to his wife or the other way around. I think this ad wasn't thought through. The connotations here are quite dangerous if you ask me.
