Mzansi's GSEA winner makes us proud!
It's a dream come true for UCT student Ludwick Marishane. He came, entered and is now our local winner to represent Mzansi at the Global Student Entrepreneurship Awards (GSEA).Brought to you by the Entrepreneurs’ Organisation (EO). The GSEA inspire undergraduate students to adopt entrepreneurial endeavors by bringing global visibility to student business owners who are innovative, profitable and socially responsible.
Now in its 12th year, the GSEA has honoured outstanding undergraduates who juggle their studies and run their own businesses at the same time. “The goal of the GSEA is to build tomorrow's leaders today. We offer them a network of professional advisors to support and guide them in growing an efficient business during and after college,” said Dean Lindal, vice president at EO Global.Ludwick, a 2nd year commerce student will be off to the States to compete with other global competitors in their quest to be named the Global Student Entrepreneur.
He is determined to take the big prize home.Ludwick has been a budding entrepreneur since his primary school years, but only started seriously committing himself to entrepreneurship in his senior grade (grade-10). In the last 3 years, he has authored and published a mobile dictionary; invented a healthy cigarette; and ultimately invented, developed and provisionally patented DryBath™. DryBath is a revolutionary germicidal Bath-substituting skin lotion, aimed at providing an alternative to conventional baths.Ludwick has extensive experience in leading projects. He’s a Fellow of the prestigious Allan Gray Orbis Foundation, and last year, he became the youngest delegate to ever be invited to the annual Brightest Young Minds Summit, a congregation of the nation’s 100 brightest postgraduate students.
