What to do this Valentine’s Day
Student Village is providing some date ideas for those who are at a loss on what to do this Valentines Day.
The Picnic:
For him: Impress his appetite and you will impress his heart. Show him that you understand delicate sandwiches and glasses of wine are best saved for another day. Go different, go local and pack his favourite beer, some biltong and boerie rolls.
For her: No man is too macho to pack a pretty picnic. Think about the details and plan ahead. Things to remember include a blanket, serviettes, non-messy food, refreshments and cutlery. A great idea is to leave little love notes in secrete places during the picnic, like in the basket or glued to the bottle of wine.
Spots for a Picnic:
Johannesburg: Emmerentia Dam
Cape Town: Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden
Durban: Durban Botanic Gardens
Mountain Bike Ride:
This one is for the health orientated couples. Mountain biking has increased in popularity and is a great way to get out of the city, see the outdoors and stay fit at the same time.

Museum and Art Tours:
South African museums are rich in Culture and History.
For him: Guys are not so different to girls. A turn-on, is seeing a girl really passionate about the things she loves. Guys listen a lot more than one would think. Tell him why that piece of art is your favourite and ask for his opinion.
For her: Take the initiative and learn about the museum you are about to take her to. Learn some facts and play the tour guide. Show her that the knowledge in your head does not purely consist of sports facts and music lyrics. Warning: remember to ask her what she thinks and feels.
Free Entrance at these Museums and Art Galleries:
Johannesburg: Museum Africa, Newtown
Cape Town: The Cape Gallery
