O- Week Games
O-week begins with you not knowing a soul. By the end your hands are covered in callouses from all the handshakes, high 5’s and fists bumps you have given.
To help figure how to meet people with the same likes as you, Student Village has provided you with some fun O-week games to play.
Hipster Bingo:
Definition of a hipster: Hipsters are a subculture of men and women typically in their 20's and 30's that value independent thinking, counter-culture, progressive politics, an appreciation of art and indie-rock, creativity, intelligence, and witty banter. (So the hipsters like to think).
The idea of this game is to get bingo by finding all the hipster examples on the card. Take your camera and your hipster bingo card to the gig and take a photo for proof and make your mark on your card.

Bush Diving:
A classic game requiring no logic or common sense. The rules are simple. Find a bush. Dive into the bush. Extra high 5’s to be awarded for classy dolphin dives and amount of scratches obtained.
Never ever:
This is a simple game to play when you are in a circle of people you don’t really know. You go around the circle beginning the sentence with “never ever have I”. Then complete the sentence with something you have or have not done. If anyone in the circle has done what you said they quietly have a drink. By the end of the game you will know things you never ever wanted to know.
The route less travelled:
This is a great game to play when walking to your next class. Pick your destination, it could be 10m ahead or the other side of campus. The point is to get there in the straightest line possible. Don’t let anything get in your way or you will lose.
Hug a Ginger:
This is a great game to play on campus at any time. The rules are simple, if you see a ginger give him a hug. The advantage of this game is that firstly you will make the kid’s day, and secondly others will see that you have are fearless and have a big heart.

A small warning though: Due to the recessive gene Gingers carry, they are dying out. So please be nice to your local ginger, there won’t be any left in the future.
